Is this somewhere in Georgia? It looks similar from my days down south.

Re: Where Is It?
Not that far south, only about 235 miles from you.
A midwestern carrier (still class 1) crossed an eastern carrier (now short line).

Re: Where Is It?
If David leaves from Ferris it is roughly 235 miles south and a bit west. In 1837 or 38 a canal reached the town. The canal route past a couple blocks north of where the diamonds are today though no trace remains. The town derives part of it's name from having been served by the canal.
The train is on the route of what had been a Midwest carrier. Aside from some trackage rights on CNR their routes were all midwestern. The train is crossing what was once an Eastern who reached into the Midwest as far as the Mississippi River. This route had once featured prominently on their map but is largely abandoned today. A short line operates the remains today.

Yes he did. Wabash crossing the Pennsylvania Panhandle line.
Parma MI. Crossed the bridge many times headed to my grand parents house. These used to be a diner in Parma in an old interurban car.
Re: Where Is It?
Here is a recent arial photo, in Michigan. The grade heading off in the 10:30 direction was once a busy line that no longer has rails on it. Extra points if you can tell me what kind of plane I was in.
Re: Where Is It?
The old Air Line southwest of Jackson and a Beech King Air.
Re: Where Is It?

C47 and Broadway at Musketawa trail is correct. The plane was the Hairless Joe at the Yankee Air Museum.

Re: Where Is It?
At least 150 south of that. There used to be a bridge just past that code line pole.
