Indeed, Z man has it correct. My first visit ever to the Chessie bridge at Patterson and this pair of CW44ACs were parked there on the head of an eastern coal train. This crew change stairway with the Close Clearance sign was a nice touch. I believe this was June 1998. Well done!

Now that you say this, I feel like this is somewhere up near TC. I feel like I was just driving by this spot last year on my way to Glen Arbor from East Jordan but I can’t place it.

Could be near Petoskey too, in fact I’m leaning in that direction.

Indeed, its Scottville in Mason County. Final run run of the remaining passenger train actaully it was a mixed train ran between Saginaw and Ludington was made on November 30, 1949.
