The Free Press ran a rather good article on SRI's North Pole Express and the history of 1225 in its December 1, 2023 online edition. The photography is outstanding for this sort of article.

I rode it today for the first time. It was great. The SRI group did a great job. 1225 led out to Ashley and a diesel pulled back.
