PRR T1 reconstruction making progress

Unread post by GP30M4216 »

The video linked in this article, particularly at track speed toward the end of the 4:25 youtube segment, is incredible. Here's an update as to how they've been coming along in their efforts to fundraise and construct a new PRR T1 4-4-4-4 duplex steam locomotive, to be number 5550.

As part of their progress, the T1 group has acquired the only surviving PRR 8-axle long haul "coast-to-coast" tender. I had no idea one of these still survived!
