I’m not one to condone graffiti whether it be on any structure or object however I do admire some of the artistic work that I see on rail cars. So I came up with the idea for a topic where we could all show the interesting art/graffiti we capture in photos or on video.

M326 CSX Grand Rapids subdivision 02/27/2024 I saw this covered hopper today going through Zeeland Michigan and was able to grab a screenshot from a Railfan Landon video so I will give credit where credit is due.

I am looking forward to this thread. I don't like that vandals paint cars but admit I can appreciate their work.

Agree. Bring on the photos. And keep your spray paint at home.

All of these were done by railfans.

M326 CSX Grand Rapids subdivision 03/05/2024 I saw this reefer today going through Zeeland Michigan and was able to grab a screenshot from The Bangor WebCam.
The reason this artwork/graffiti stood out to me is because amongst all the colorful imagery there’s a black-and-white image of a crazy ass looking cow/bull wearing a cowboy hat.

There is a lot of well done stationary "artwork" in the city of Detroit and elsewhere especially around bridges.
A lot of it is not really be considered graffiti but I thought it was worth mentioning.
I like this one near Milwaukee Junction https://maps.app.goo.gl/3SfC2LKRBVYCUxNPA

M326 CSX Grand Rapids subdivision 03/09/2024 I first noticed this covered hopper today going through Bangor Michigan and I grabbed a screenshot of it from the Bangor WebCam. I was able to grab a shot of it as it passed through Zeeland Michigan as well. Whoever the creator was he or she must have been a Dexter‘s Laboratory fan.

The last one is not graffiti. That is a cause container that hub group has. If you post that photo on social media and use #causecontainer they’ll donate money to a certain cause (like feeding america, breast cancer awareness, etc)

Makes sense. It looked too "professional" to have been hand painted.

Graffiti on railcars is an act of vandalism and a crime. It also looks tasteless and boring, and people shouldn't be forced to stare at it because a small minority of insufferable teenagers think it looks cool.

No one is being forced to stare at graffiti on railcars any more than they are forced to stare at the sun.

Agree. This is a Gallery thread. Not a debate thread. Please start your discussion on a new thread in the forums. Also more pictures please.
