(Aviation) US aviation milestone in Los Angeles

At 2:36 PM PDT An Emirates Airbus A380 (Dubai to LA) landed at Los Angeles international. May not seem like much right! Wrong. This is a big deal, the aircraft in question; A6-EUF (registration) is the first Emirates A380 to land in Los Angeles in over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The A380 is the biggest passenger jet ever built (yes, it beats the Boeing 747) and when COVID first hit, there was rumors it would never fly again. They’re back, and some airlines are trying to fly them into Detroit metro too. So keep an eye out!

DTW can handle an A380. Is it a good idea...no.
The only airline that serves DTW and had them was Lufthansa and they retired all of them.

edit: I remembered in between my dreams last night that Air France had some. They were retired early last year.
Lufthansa retired theirs a couple months ago.
