Im going to school at the University of Northwestern Ohio for diesel and hope to be a locomotive mechanic. On the weekends I go home and work at the Meijer in Grand Ledge in the deli.

I work at the Meijer in Royal Oak as a head cashier and customer service rep. I've been with Miejer since October, 2001. I started out looking to advance into management, but now want no part of it. I have an associates from Oakland CC and a bachelors from Walsh.

I was a cashier at Meijer back in 1986-87...when the store was only open 7-11 and we had to wear ties, and jeans were not acceptable. Baggers had to work at least two lanes, and sometimes three, and cashiers were required to scan a certain number of items per minute. That's back when Meijer hired employees with more than just a heartbeat (that's certainly no reference to you, trainjunkie! ). Oh, how times have changed.

I work for TLC in Holland as an End User Support Specialist (company help desk for internal employees and some outside customers.) I work on things like: installing new networking lines, replacing old PCs and laptops, repairing computer, printer fixes, and most of the day is troubleshooting software issues.

TLC is a logistic company, primarily dealing with transporting foods from warehouse to warehouse, mostly trucking with some rail transport and intermodal.

I also "work" at running this website

Not to feel left out I worked grocery at Kroger for two years during high school. Bagged, got the carts and worked the bottle return. Nothing like getting all sticky and stinky cleaning on 90 degree days when everyone brings in bottles full of cigarette butts.

After that I went onto CMU and graduated from there recently with a broadcasting degree and im currently looking for jobs in TV news.

Got my philosophy degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, moved back to Muskegon, MI and spent the last 6 months trying to find a job. After getting 0 phone calls, job market is... great here... I decided on real estate. I'm now working for Greenridge Realty.

Retired from Consumers Energy, better known as Consumers Power in most of my 32 years there. Worked new construction/maintainance, installing new gas lines and repairing leaks and damaged services & mains. Never a dull moment, doing something different every day and enjoyed my years as equipment operator, and crew leader.

Attending the community college here in the fall/spring terms and for the summer doing utility work for a company downstate and just finishing up laying fiber optic ducting in Manistee County. Like Bob M said never a dull moment in this type of work.

I work for MMPC (Michigan Medical PC) a group of doctors in West Michigan. I am a Staff Accountant and work with Fixed Assets only. I also have a Bachelor Degree in History and an working on a Master's Degree in History.

I work at Tim Hortons...I sell Doughnuts and Coffee. I'm also a student at Carman-Ainsworth HS. And from Time to Time I operate various peices of Heavy Equipment. At the end of this year I'll be able to do Welding, Run Heavy Equipment, and Sell Doughnuts and Coffee!!

So you are from my neck of the woods I grew up and gratuated from Mt. Morris. Just a little note I work for Kellogg's snack division in Grand Rapids.

Im in Wisconsin for the summer and I am working for a landscaping company there. (staying with my aunt)

I think this thread needs to be revived. Could be neat to hear what everyone does.
So here is my Resume:

Southwest Airlines, First Officer (co-pilot) Boeing 737. We fly the NG models -700 (143seats), -800 and -MAX8 (175 seats).

Before that I was a Union Boss at ExpressJet airlines. ExpressJet flew as a United Express Carrier; and before they were known as ExpressJet, we were wholly owned by the former Continental airlines and called Continental Express. I flew the EMB-120 Brasilia (30 seats), ATR-42(46 seats), and Embraer 145 Jungle Jet (50 seats). Most of my time was as a Captain on the Embraer-145. I was also a flight instructor/ check airmen for 12 of my years there before I got into the union work. It was a great company to work for and I felt I had a great job. They ceased operations last fall.

Before that I was a flight instructor at Western Michigan University. I taught mostly in the Cessna-172 but also used the Mooney M20r Ovation, and the Piper PA34 Seneca while I worked there.

My family also has a large farming operation near Lake Odessa. I grew up doing farm work and equipment maintenance and driving semi trucks. The family also operates a few grain elevators so I've spent plenty of time working at elevators (dirty job). I still help out as needed especially during the fall and spring busy seasons but it really isn't my thing anymore.

I was a cashier/stocker at the Shell gas station in Lake-O during the slow times at the farm when I was in high school and college (Winter & Mid Summer).
