Rodney actually found it:
Miller Road crossing the Grand Elk RR, looking northwest along Miller Road, just north of Plainwell in Gun Plain Township, Allegan County, about 15 miles north of Kalamazoo. Passenger train service on the former New York Central RR between Elkhart, IN and Grand Rapids, was discontinued many years ago.

But yours is Herring Rd in Litchfield which I thought we already did too. Maybe it was pointing in the other direction though.

Re: Where Is It?
This is a good one.. picture just screams northern michigan with the pine trees and hills, NNW facing photo, but with it not being in the UP, on a shortline or GLC..just doesn't look like southern michigan, but alas, it must be.
Is it on CN?
Edit: whoops, yes, SSE view.

Re: Where Is It?
It is East of US-23.
ConrailDetroit posted a photo of this exact same spot but looking in the other direction.
This is just a short spur so I don't think the compass will help much if at all.
EDIT: Dumb but honest mistake, this IS on a shortline. This shows my ignorance of railroads and most other things
