Yes, its Laurel Street crossing of GLC RR looking north toward the next crossing which is Dresen Street. Chalker Park can be seen on the right. All in Kalkaska, MI. Final run of the remaining passenger train on the old Pennsy RR from Mackinaw City to Fort Wayne, IN whith stop in Kalkaska, was made on September 4, 1961.

We used to drive through there every year on our way to Glen Arbor before we got priced out of there as a destination.

Newberry Michigan. The Asylum spur about two blocks south of the main line. I believe the metal building in the center was formerly an axe handle factory.

Indeed it is! I'm not familiar with the terrain there. Is this a drone shot or is there a bluff you're shooting from for this vantage point?

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.

That stuff in the lower right corner means it's a google street view image.

While Dave is right that it's an image on google's street view, it most certainly isn't from a vehicle. Here's a link to the photo that lets you do a 360 degree view of the photo location. Was most definitely taken with a drone: https://goo.gl/maps/C3dwCcyD6uA78rhRA
