yep. Hoping to catch GLC while I’m up here but I doubt it since I’m leaving Wednesday morning and they don’t seem to come out this way more than 2-3 times a month and that might be an overestimate.

You are correct Chip. Service seems to be weekly to monthly whenever crew has time to make the run.

Ah ha, found it. Almost gave up... see a business in the back that says TLC. See the interstate direction signs to the left, figured either an emergency route or directions to the nearest one, so was searching google maps for TLC around an interstate. Kalamazoo, Sprinkle Rd. Track to the right curves off to the small CN yard.

It is likely the covered hoppers passed through Owosso.

Not on CN.

The area code would make it too easy.

Not Middleton or Perrinton, although the covered hoppers could have come from there.

Nicely done DaveO.

Those covered hoppers are in potash service were probably exchanged in Durand with HESR who forwarded them to Sargent in Zilwaukee.

Yes, indeed correct! The shot above was actually taken in Lakeland, MI east of Pinckney looking west along the former GTW RR, now the Lakeland Rail Trail State Park, from the west side of Kress Road in Hamburg Township, Livingston County. Zukey Lake is behind the camera position. The trackage on the right was the former Ann Arbor RR later TSBY, now GLC RR Final run of the remaining passenger train service on the old GYW trackage between Pontiac and Jackson was made on December 31, 1955. July 1950 was the date of the final run of the passenger train service on the old AA RR trackage between Toledo, OH and Frankfort, MI.
