ConrailDetroit, your trip reports are some of my favorites. Thanks for sharing all of this variety and locations around Chicagoland this trip. I too enjoy your green line photos, and your other super compressed images. Will 16th Street Tower be decommissioned when the current reconfiguration project is done?

Single tracking is in the works on the St. Charles side and the ex-Iowa line - although I do realize this alone does not mean the tower need be closed. I just wasn't sure if a bigger project was in the works. I'd happy to see the tower stay open and lose a few more pieces of asbestos siding!
