439: KRR 3805 Delivered to GRE!

Ep. 439: New Power for the GRE! KRR 3805 Delivered by CSX

April 20, 2015 - A steady rain falls, as CSX Y297 shoves the dead KRR 3805 into the Grand Rapids Eastern RR yard at Fuller. The GP35M is intended to replace the CFE 3885, which itself is a temporary replacement for the MMRR 24, which suffered mechanical issues.

As of June, 2015, the unit has yet to be deployed, reportedly awaiting the repair of several mechanical gremlins.

Y297 was able to shove this unit to rest in the manner shown thanks to their remote controlled unit. They shoved up the West Side using the KRR's cab while their normal CSX Geep provided the power and audible warnings.
