Bryan, Butter, St. Joe

Took some time this morning and ran down to Bryan this morning. Got to meet Jeff L. Also ran into Scooter B.'s son. Some good action at the Amtrak Station.

Headed west through Edgerton and into Buttler.

Met a good dude named Matt Wright, One of Loco Engineer's friends. Matt got a good tip on some Iowa Chiacgo & Eastern power on one of the CSX K trains so we headed South to St. Joe.

I noticed that the Sun angle this time of year is NOT GOOD. Cant wait for winter! Skiing and good sun angle.

Yeah unfortunately with the summer high sun angles you'll get awkward shadows and stuff. Tank cars especially look weird in high sun (the top and bottom are lit but the middle and trucks are shadowed). Just one of the many adventures in railfanning is working with what nature presents you.

And I've only caught ICE SD40-2s once and they were trailing. Looks like I picked the wrong day to go to Deshler (Thursday).
