L304 and L305

Unread post by RoyalKingoftheRails »

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question in regards to L304 and L305. How often do they run and where do they work? I haven't L305 despite the few times I've railfanned East Lansing. I'm just wondering how often they run. If someone could help me out, that would be great. Thanks!

CSX L304 tends to work west out of Lansing around 10-11pm, returning around 3-5am.
CSX L305 heads east out of Lansing around noon, comes back around 6-10pm. Both tie up for the day on weekdays only typically.

I don't know how up to date the below info for L304's customers is. Also, there is a railroadfan thread with some additional info about L304 & L305:

L304 Customers:

Heart Truss, Stone Co and Cashway Lumber in Lansing
Lowe's in Grand Ledge
Nutrien Ag Solutions and Carbon Green Bio Energy in Woodbury
Caldeonia Farmers Co-Op and Twin City Foods in Lake Odessa.

Apparently they are now running as far as Alto to switch the propane customer as they have requested a twice a day switch, but are not taking the cars with them to Lansing.
