With the way the spur will be facing, I would guess it will end up being L301 work. Y121 would either have to shove out there or go out to East Saugatuck to run around and come back.
I spoke with somebody with first-hand knowledge about who will be working the new Coastal Container siding and it will be Y121. So I guess I was right and your guess was wrong lol happy new year SD80MAC 🥳
Did your conversation mentioned what type of cars that Coastal Containers is getting ?

No… I would assume boxcars and they have not yet started receiving cars.

Should be seeing product arrive in boxcars similar to PCA in Grandville. Likely bulk rolls of card stock.

CPKC buys CSX Plymouth Sub

Unread post by NickThatRailfan »

My buddy just texted me telling me CPKC recently bought the CSX Plymouth Sub. I was wondering why and he said that NS dosent want the extra traffic on the Chicago Line so CPKC bought the Plymouth Sub so they could reroute there trains off the Detroit District also. Can anyone tell me if this is true.

should we also tell you the truth about santa?
for future reference, such transactions must be filed with the stb, which you can search.
also public companies must disclose material matters in accordance with sec rules.

Wait, so you posted an unsubstantiated claim as fact in a post, and then at the end of the same post you asked if it was true?

Second and third-hand information has a funny habit of being unreliable.

CP is mandating that all of this work be done before they complete the purchase of the line.
I wonder where Nick's buddy got the idea...

Merged yet another CP buying CSX in Michigan into one of the existing threads.
Nick - it's been posted about on here for all 20 years this site has been around. Feel free to search for the topic before making a subject line of "CPKC buys CSX Plymouth Sub."

If this is in any way shape or form true and LRF is the source of this latest rumor I have to say I am incredibly incredibly proud of LRF.
Well done sir well done.

This actually has turned into a fun thread almost as fun as this classic(The angle of the dangle).

Take a moment to yourself and have a rational thought. Do you REALLY think if this happened your "buddy" would be the first one telling you, instead of seeing that info posted here first by those in the know?

Come on, don't be so naive.
