Re: Welchs in Lawton
Is Welchs an active rail customer? I see tracks into the facility, but forget if they were active.
If so, there is always hope the expansion will positively impact rail service, and maybe even expand it.
Thanks for the news redside20.

Yes, they are an active customer. I caught the B05 switching them last spring.

Re: Welchs in Lawton
I saw them there a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning. The picture on top is from this summer and the bottom picture is the one from a few weeks ago. It is usually NS 7145 and 7147 or NS 7149 and NS 7150 or NS 7148 and 7146 that leads these locals. They use those same engines as the lead on either end of a 3 or 4 engine unit grain train that come into Cargill.

Cargill is the 2nd. Who is the 3rd?

They have to use those specific GP60s because those and 1 or 2 GP40-2s are the only NS units equipped with ITCS for the MI Line.Dowagiac Train Dude wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:42 pmI saw them there a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning.
