Talking RR Crossing

The other evening Broadcastify's CSX West Michigan scanner was picking up calls from the Garrett sub-division & I had heard a female voice transmitting from what I had initially thought was the Impact Detector site that's been heard a few times. It turns out, it was a Talking RR crossing at mp 155 something telling an approaching train the crossing was activated.
Then, another message was heard not long afterwards saying the crossing was de-activated. From the Time Table, this may have been the 1200 West D Street crossing at mp BI 155.7 in Cromwell, IN.

It was about 2 or so weeks ago I had happened upon a YouTube video by Jaw Tooth that featured a "Talking Crossing" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIpTybrvcFk at the 26 second time mark the crossing makes its 1st radio call to say the crossing is activated & at 1:06 it radios the crossing is de-activated.

Fuller Ave crossing on the GRE also has the talking "crossing activated" on the radio. I think they can send a series of tones on the radio in the engine to activate the crossing.

Danny Harmon (AKA Distant Signal) did a video about railroad crossings in the past, I could've sworn he talked about something like this, Here's the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qdti3atxpw

Just because the crossing talks doesn’t mean it’s a DTMF crossing.
