Does anyone know what became of the first HESR caboose, #650?
I am also curious as to what the heritage of the cab is as well. It looks former DT&I.

HESR Caboose #650
Re: HESR Caboose #650
Found out where it went!
The caboose was originally DT&I 103. It was renumbered to 650 when it was sold to the Huron & Eastern in 1987. It was later sold to a private individual in Brighton, Michigan (Ben Meikle) where it resided until 2011. In April, 2011, the caboose was purchased by the Arcadia Valley Chamber of Commerce using a $45,000 Taum Sauk Fund grant. It is currently displayed at the Arcadia, MO Amtrak depot and visitor center.
