City Traffic Services - Expect extended train delays today: City of Plymouth News & Alerts

The City of Plymouth Police Services, CSX Railroad Police, City Fire & Municipal Services all responded to a traffic accident involving railroad equipment and a car on the Mill Street North (Old Village Area) railroad crossing earlier this morning. As a result of the accident the crossing arm and signal were damaged beyond repair.

CSX Signal crews are now on-site. Once CSX Police completes their investigation and the vehicle is removed from the tracks repairs can begin on the signals. As a result of the repair process and CSX Crews working on/near the tracks, trains may be required to progress more slowly than normal and may even be required to stop near the construction site. This process may cause a back up at other crossings in the City and Township of Plymouth. It is unknown at this time how long train traffic may be effected. The Mill Street Railroad Crossing in Old Village remains closed at this time.

For more information on this road closure contact www.csx.com or the CSX Railroad Police.
