Beacon in Traverse City

Unread post by KC »

395-396 switched Beacon today in Traverse City. Arrived with 4 empty cars and pulled 3 loads.

Arriving at Beacon Recycling,

After splitting the engines, 395 pulls the 3 loads off of Beacon's siding.

Then the 4 empty cars are spotted.

The engines are recoupled and with 396 now leading, begin there trip back towards Cadillac, passing through the old Boardman Yard in Traverse City.

Great shots. They actually went to the depot, picked up a loaded center beam and took it to Amerhart, then back to TC before heading to Cadillac.

So wonderful to see Beacon has become a regular customer! Thanks for sharing these detail photos of their operation. If they also went to Williamsburg, then they switched all the customers on the TC branch! 2 customers is better than 1!

If they did go to Amerhart, it was before they switched Beacon, I followed them back around Boardman Lake and out Keystone Rd heading south.
I was under the impression they didn't go to Bates on Monday.....?
Also THANK YOU everyone for the positive comments, I'd been hoping to catch them in Traverse for quite a while...

Here they are at mp 24 along Woodmere Ave departing Traverse City.

That last pic is well done especially, KC. And shows off the rehab work done in 2019.
