The MOW is replacing ties at the other switch near Broadway in Grandville for the runaround track used for the Standard Lumber spur.

There may be a crew doing spot tie replacement at many switches. EE Hudsonville and Waverly have tie bundles dropped off, too.

A mainline tie crew will be working west of Grand Rapids later this summer. A hi-railing semi with a claw has been dropping bundles of new ties along the GR Sub from Grandville and has them spaced most of the way through Jenison easily visible from Chicago Drive. The semi and a string of CSXT gons loaded with the new ties were spotted in Wyoming Yard yesterday. I wonder where CSX sources their ties from?

The semi truck with 7 gons of ties returning to Wyoming yard. I've been seeing this thing returning around 19:00 every day this week. Would like to know if they're going all the way to Waverly (Holland) ? All I know for sure is when they get going on this MOW project, it starts at MP #6 in Grandville.

Just saw a CSX post that a W082-30 is headed to Wyoming Yard. Was wondering when the next phase of the MOW from Grandville west would happen. I'm sure they will be dumping ballast sometime this week.

Both W082 and W034 are heading towards Grand Rapids. What kind of work are they doing?

Just heard @ 9:46pm they're going to start some work after tonight's Amtrak P370-05 train is done. Amtrak is to arrive the Grand Rapids station at 11:41pm. Had also heard mention their Pilot will be on duty.

The MOW has begun in Grandville. They started at WE Grandville MP6 and tore out the Division Ave. crossing in Grandville. Got as far as Broadway then parked all the equipment in the siding. Talked to some of the crew and they said the crossings at Broadway and Cottonwood in Jenison were to also be replaced. Major tie and resurfacing project with alot of equipment.

Sounds like D702 and D700 will be swapping their work while the MOW curfew is in effect. D700 will be running to Grand Rapids at night and D702 will be going as far west as Sawyer during the day.

Checked with the crew doing the MOW and confirmed, Cottonwood crossing in Jenison gets ripped out today. Also wondering if Q326 will run later in the day due to MOW working until 19:00.

Numerous crossings are slated for surfacing snd replacement. Bundles of that poly rail edging material have been dropped beside those crossings to be replaced. Tie crew was working Holland siding near the junction of the Hamilton Sub late today, dropping ties.
