Just because the power isn't out to homes in the area doesn't mean that the signals on the railroad aren't getting power.

I had heard through the grapevine that later this year (over Summer 2022) CSX will begin work on signals starting from Lake Odessa and heading east.
My informant told me that once the replacement signals are installed, it could take up to three years for them to switch over, given that the FRA only requires them to be installed, not operating.
Whether or not any of this is true, I'm not sure. I will get into the specifics more as I remember, and as my buddy repeats the information to me.

Has anyone else heard about this?

They have new signals staged in Elmdale and a few other spots along the line. It's going to happen, eventually.

01:47 - The westbound signal at CH 49 looked to have a burnt out bulb. This side only has one head.
17:30 - Still not lit, first westbound train would have been L305-11 out of Brighton which I did not stick around for.
19:30, 8/14 - Still no light from the westbound aspect.
