Confirmed on M26808 out of Detroit tonight.

Ludington Northern never became part of the CSX, so they wouldn't do a unit for them. Plus #16 is still around so it can be the heritage unit all on its own.

As for the M&NE. It was part of the CSX family so it is possible, but highly unlikely you will ever see a heritage unit in this scheme.

I believe the M&NE locomotives wore the same paint scheme as Pere Marquette. If M&NE had a passenger locomotive to use as a model the heritage unit would look like CSX 1898.

If you know the time these trains are coming and going then you should be able to catch them on the Porter Junction - Chesterton, IN VR camera. The camera is across the tracks from the two different mainlines that come into Michigan from Porter, IN. I caught a pretty long CSX freight train coming from Michigan into Indiana this morning while watching. This camera catches four different railroads, it has Amtrak, BNSF, CSX and Norfolk Southern trains.
