Why Blue Oval Plant Stopped Amtrak?

On May 6-7, some Amtrak Wolverines did not operate east of Battle Creek, MI act construction of a battery plant at Marshall by Ford.
Why would the construction hold up Amtrak? Should be interesting to see if the plant becomes an NS shipper/receiver.

There is a "future rail spur" on the plans along the south side of plant area.

There are a couple of culverts on the plan that could have led to a rail interruption (allowing the retention pond south of the plant to drain under the tracks to the Kalamazoo river).
