That video is awesome! One of my favorites. Glad you captured the horn salute! And you gotta love the rare milagevrun on that equipment.
I save lives. What do you do?
Re: Coopersville & Marne Railway Questions
I agree with Firemedic. I like the horn salute too . It's probably not as easy as it seems to do that with a train horn.

PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...
Re: Coopersville & Marne Railway Questions
The horn valve in 7014 is not typical. Certain horns work very well for that salute. That particular horn was sd80mac's k5la with an oddball bell reversal. Very hard to quill that horn valve.
FiremedicMike, aren't you in that second video?

Why, yes, that is me on the front steps of the caboose doing fire watch. The CPMY Safety Dept. wanted to make sure the Mechanical Dept. Supervisor and the Chief Mechanic were not starting a 6 mile long grass fire with the locomotive load testing. Not that such things have happened before....

It's me. Not to worry.
We were shoving the blue boxcar back that day for veterans day so I got to play with 3049, at least in the brakeman capacity.
