QUestion for the EJ&E crowd

Unread post by Norm »

A couple of miles northwest of the Joliet yard there is a yard that may be a wrecking/recycling yard. It's a dead end yard, but there doesn't seem to be any recycling activity there.

Aerial photos are available on 'Virtual Earth'.

Anyone have any information?

I think I know what yard you are talking about. It is a facility that repairs and stores freight cars. There are old EJ&E cabooses and a EJ&E crane stored in that yard. There is also a IC coach still in the old chocolate and orange scheme in there! They own one ex-IMRL switcher to move the cars around.
