Not in Chicago. It’s a lawless place. You can tell just by driving around, people pass using bike lanes, turn lanes, go into opposing traffic, blow red lights, blow stop signs, all with impunity. Go try driving on Brainard and 130th Streets in Burnham. I’ve personally almost been wrecked multiple times out there while driving around for work.

Hardly any cops around. Never see anybody pulled over. But I almost never drive through there without witnessing at least 2-3 major moving traffic violations.

Just a symptom of a much, much larger problem.

Trains are often parked between Kedize Avenue and River Forest, which is a wealther area.

Local residents in River Forest have complained about idling trains in their neighborhood.

None of the options are that great for UP. You can leave the train and have Nimbys complain, or sit in a high crime area.
