Earlier this week, two people walking along the Metra Tracks were hit and killed by a train.

When you read the story, you might think "Why do they have to do such an investigation why people died when a train ran them over? Isn't it obvious?"
I think it is standard procedure to do a thorough investigation whenever there is a fatality.
