Anybody hear if Garrett yard is being shut down? Didn't know if any other boards had reported same?

Garrett yard, Lafayette yard, and Wyoming yard are the ones I know of that recently lost their on-site yard masters and were remoted.

Lafayette still has its yard masters. They will be controlling Garrett when after the yard masters leave there.

Seems odd to have a yardmaster on a different line controlling another yard.

Garrett yard is in service there is multiple grain trains originating from Garrett and a local the originates and terminates in Garrett along with a few mixed freights that work the yard and the yard is often used as a crew change point

All of the above yards are still in service. They no longer have on-site Yardmasters.

As already pointed out, Lafayette still has a yardmaster on site.
