FYI Until this recent update by ND&W our tracks(lafarge) looked far better than theirs HAHAHA The old Cinn Northern part that we own has held up very well. We spend quite a bit on our tracks every year
So from the switch at Cecil down to the plant is all LaFarge track?
Yes Holcim(as its now known) owns from the switch to the plant

Typical corporate speak. Just like politicians it’s worthless. They pay professionals big money to write this crap and they all sound the same.

We’ll see whether Patriot Rail will continue what the new management at Pioneer started.

Has there been any traffic running across the line lately, I've not seen anything lately, was wondering if the trackwork had any impact or if I'm just not catching the line at the right time.

Tessenderlo Kerley (TKI) is building a new liquid fertilizer facility on the NDW in Defiance. They are expected to be a major customer.

I did a complete rewrite on the Wikipedia entry for NDW (not the Wiki associated with the forum, I don't have access to that yet). I read through all 83 pages here plus reviewed a lot of meeting minutes, etc. from the Ohio Rail Development Commission, news articles, press releases, etc. to get the history and details right.

If you're familiar with the NDW's history, operations, etc. give it a look and let me know what I missed or got wrong. There was a big ORDC grant in 2016 associated with closing the crossings on US-24 and in Liberty Center that I didn't include because I haven't been able to nail down all the details (quite a bit was mentioned here). Also, I'm assuming the engine fleet listings are current but that was going by what I read/viewed online. Since I'm not local to NDW, those of you who see them operate regularly may be able to add/correct the details. I've included a link to the Wikipedia entry.

Looks like it was still in Defiance in June so perhaps it's still in operation?
