Wow! I especially love the red trim along the windows and roofline. What a class act...

Trains will start moving as soon as it's light out basically. Normally in Defiance but can be at Napoleon or anywhere else on the line.

Okay, question on this picture. normally, you can see the ties- so this seems like a lot of ballast between the rails. Can I assume they will then have something come through and tamp that stuff in? does if raise the rails/ties a bit out of the ground, or just push into the ground? Just trying to understand how this works. :)

Indiana Hi-Rail did track work, less than Pioneer is doing, but more than the previous owner.

Tamper will raise the rail along with ties if they are spiked to rail and squeeze stone underneath ties.

Should be interesting when they run the tamper... Went through Cecil earlier this week and attached picture of the track west of Cecil. Looks like the amount of cars that are interchanged with the NS has increased. I was surprised to see the CSX ballast cars at the interchange in Defiance, I would have thought they could pull ballast from Hanson's outside of the Lafarge Facility.

In the pic, will tamping the new ballast help smooth that rail out some?
