Well here are the videos from last Tuesday. Was great to finally catch the 107 running. We had our 3 year old nephew with us to watch trains. When we found the ND&W switch they had just crossed Krouse Rd heading east back to Defiance. After another half an hour wait they almost made it to Precision Way. The engineer had to double as a tree care professional to remove a branch blocking the line. At the diamond they had to wait for a road freight and the Y101 before getting back to their yard. We though they were done (it was almost 5:30) so we went for dinner. They loaded up the "flat car" with ties and headed back west. We missed them at precision Way and they tied down at Krouse Rd. I'm told ties are laid out all they way to Cecil now!

Classic shortline get it done type of thing. Looking forward to seeing service, or at least the potential for service, on the Defiance-Cecil stretch again. Cool videos, thanks for posting them.

Thank you, Scott, for posting these videos. Do you think they brought the 107 to the line to transfer equipment/ties, etc. across that portion of the line as light as possible? The rail in the foreground at the beginning of the first picture is in pretty bad shape. Glad they're rehabbing the line.

Is a chainsaw standard cab equipment?

They have ran normal power on the Defiance to Cecil portion multiple times, have been told by the crews that that section is no worse than Defiance to Napoleon. They could run trains on it today but there is no reason to do so.
