Chasing the Michigan Northern's SM-ELKGYRL and BC-CHICNHOUG

The Michigan Northern Railroad (MIGN) is a Petoskey, Michigan-based Class II shortline that has yards in Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Gaylord, Petoskey and Houghton. The railroad interchanges with major class 1 railroads such as NS, BNSF, CN, IHB and KCS. In this post we'll be doing a quick chase of two trains, the SM-ELKGYRL (Special Movement- Elkhart, In-Gaylord, Mi, this is an empty DODX flat car train going to the Gaylord Air Force Base) with MIGN SD60 #6116, NS SD60E #6920 (NS Veterans Unit) and NS SD70ACe #1003. We'll also do a quick chase of MIGN BC-CHICNHOUG (Bulk Commoditity-Chicago, IL (CN)- Houghton, Mi). With MIGN SD60 #6117, MIGN SD40-2 #4103 and MIGN SD40-2 #4102.
