The Swanson & Western Railway

Unread post by Derektrainman03 »

The Swanson & Western Railway (reporting marks SWT) is a class 3 railroad that is based in the midwestern part of the New England state of Connecticut. It was first put in service in June of 1992 with its headquarters in Cannan, CT (original headquarters was in Granby, CT but an arson fire caused the headquarters to be moved to Cannan, CT.) But this did not stop the railroad from being in ruins. The original power was 2 RS3 locomotives numbered 500 and 501. Later in the early 2000s, the power then transformed from aging RS3s to more efficient GP38-2s numbered 0943 and 0942. By 2009, the railroad's commodities were lumber, paper, grain, meat packing, and plastic pallets. The paint scheme is similar to the Arkansas and Midland. Today, the railroad continues service for the state of Connecticut.

(sorry for the short history guys, I ran out of ideas)
