On a side note: per a reliable source, L508 is going to have another SD40-2W (#5340) leading it. However it sounds like it’s going to be dropped in Pontiac and swapped out with the SD60 that’s been on the L515 job. If all goes according to plan, the 5340 *should* become L515’s new power.


Odds are no 5340 tonight for 508 as I’ve just been told. The head end telemetry device is apparently not working on it.

OK, is the plan still to drop off CN SD40-2W #5340 at Pontiac Yard? It would be cool to have this on local 515!!!! Per photos I have seen online, it doesn't have rear Ditchlights! It would be cool to see it going slower leading LHF with that "One Light!!!!"

507 in Moterm as of 7pm with a giant pickup.

Lined north out of Moterm at 7:08. Power is an SD40-2W zebra, thundercab SD70M-2 and canadian cab Dash 9.

Folks, CN ET44AC #3115 "BC Rail Heritage" is back on today's train 385 but trailing! I did not catch! It is reported on "Heritage Units" (by East Michigan Films) southbound in Wyandotte at 5:48 p.m. today!!!!

507 going past MP 22.5 at 6:41 pm. SD60 5466, until yesterday assigned to Pontiac, was the second of two units. With SD40-2L 5340 struggling to bring a long 515 up the Hill today I can see why the 5400's are good local train locomotives here.

508 passing MP 22.5 at 8:24 pm. The SD40 is trailing, I could hear/feel its turbocharger noise/vibrations a half mile away as it accelerated out of Pontiac city limits.

WB>SB X273 with CN 3328 solo thru Paris, ON at 12:00 noon today. X27331 is Toronto to Flat Rock, empty racks.

SB 515 had IC 9607 this morning. It went past MP 22.5 around 7:30 am.
