CN Train Location Updates - February 2024

507 went past MP 22.5 at 5:45 pm.

OK Folks, CN "EJE Heritage" ET44AC #3023 did not come back north on train 382 today (2-25) as some predicted! I "ZOOMED" by bicycle to the tracks when I heard a northbound horn from my new house in Fraser around 11:30 a.m. Well I made it in time by a few minutes! The sound really travels on these new ET44ACs!!!! Instead, just two regular CN ones, #3034/3084 ,with 137 cars! It cleared Masonic Road approx. 11:40 a.m. The "J Heritage" unit instead was spotted on "Heritage Units" (by GabeStar19 ) at 11:28 today just sitting in the yard! Well, it probably will come back north on some train tomorrow! Does anyone here know?

Problem for picture takers and Robert, is that M384 is seldom on the MTC sub until around 11:00pm - or later...

That S756 must have been the train I heard around 5:30 this morning as this is not a "normal" time for a train thru Linden, although, of course, any train can run at any time.

Sand train passed MP 22.5 at 6:15 am, following AMTRAK 351 down the hill. Locomotive on rear too.

SB 515 with 5466 just passed MP 22.5 at 7:48 am with 32 cars today, empty gondolas up front, a few boxcars, a ton of loaded centerbeams for a change, then boxcars on the rear, probably for Chrysler.

David Collins/Man o' War! "EJE Heritage" ET44AC #3023 actually was leading train 384 last night! Missed!!!! However, I already got this engine good Saturday! It was spotted on "Heritage Units" (by Steve K.) in Columbus, MI at 12:23 a.m. early Feb. 26. Now, I heard a northbound yesterday around 7:30 p.m. What was that? Seems early for 384 but 382 already passed! Maybe that was train 384, but why did it take almost 5 hours to get to Columbus?

Passed MP 22.5 at 11:08 am. Only the lead locomotive was working, an 8900. Short train, mostly company gondolas with ties (a sure sign of spring). Only one autorack.

Expecting 116 any minute now from previous reports.

507 went by MP 22.5 real slow at 5:25 pm admitting defeat that Amtrak 355 has the right away to crossover to Main 1 in Pontiac and stab him. Short train.

LansingRailfan! Cool that CN "Illinois Central Heritage" ET44AC #3008 is on train A492! Does this mean it will likely lead a train into Michigan westbound tomorrow (Feb. 27)? Could it end up on train 383 or 385 for the M.C. Sub.?
