M326-30 @ 12:15:29 eastward Bangor, Mi Division St crossing mp CG60.93 cam with CSX engines #7044 + #5389 & 116 cars.

L303-30 @ 12:24 Grand Rapids, Mi mp job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #7008 (solo) & 46 cars (11 loads + 35 empties) @ 2,543 tons & 2,574 feet long. He's departing & has No work for Lansing.

M326-30 @ 12:45 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 476 axles.

L301-30 @ 12:53 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 56 axles. CSX engines #8199 + #8066 & 11 cars. He has work for Hartford mp CG68.7 & will runaround his train at Kirk mp CG70.2 & head back east.

I’ve seen it both ways depending on the timetable M&J or M.J. lead

M.J. would seem to be correct because it’s Mead Johnson not Mead and Johnson.
It’s kind of like how people call East Saugatuck Saugatuck when it’s really East Saugatuck.
The hill at East Saugatuck is named/called Saugatuck hill.

Note: The last time I remember Mead Johnson using rail service was I believe in 1981. Between then and 1985 the siding had been removed.
Interesting history! I did not know when the siding into the actual MJ plant was removed. The Zeeland Historical Society has a great online collection including this group of aerial photos of the MJ plant from the 50s showing the path of the siding from the main to the southeast:

M326-30 @ 13:53 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 476 axles. CSX engines #7044 + #5389 & 116 cars.

Y121-30 @ 14:16 westward Pass Track to Main Track, Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.3 with CSX engine #6508 & 7 empty cars (2 Hoppers + 5 Gons). He’ll go the Holland Depot signal & then back eastward to go westward into the Dock Track mp CG25.

L303-30 @ 14:50 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CH104.3 Mulliken, Mi with 190 axles.

Y121-26 @ 15:34 eastward Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.3 on the Main Track & diverging onto the Pass Track with CSX engine #6508 & 1 Gon loaded with scrap metal. He’s returning from the Dock Track mp CG25.

L301-30 @ 15:35 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 120 axles. He’ll be going into Holland mp CG25.3 for some work there & then head eastward.

Csx l301 was in waverly and picked up csx 6137 saw him at 112th and 30 cars

YOU WIN GRHC! I remember seeing FGEX insulated boxes down there in the 60's and 70's. The track was OOS when I started in 78.

I was thinking the last time I saw a car at Mead Johnson I was in high school but maybe it was middle school which would make that around 1976-1978. I do remember it was a brand new bright yellow Railbox box car. Maybe you can tell me Doktor when was the Mead Johnson siding and the east switch for the M.J.lead removed. If I remember correctly they were done at or around the same time.

Y121-30 is inactive and tied down for the night in Waverly yard Holland Michigan @ 17:57

L302-30 by Howell at 18:38 following L305 with single unit 8095 west to Lansing. L302 had 7246 + 732 and what looked like HZRX 858 with 53 cars. The HZRX unit was mentioned on the board not too long ago as coming for someone here in Michigan. I believe this may have been a six axle unit?

Yep, going to StoneCo in Lansing. It is a ex-DMIR, BLE SD-M (rebuilt SD9)

230 axles on L302 at Fowlerville with 53 cars proved the HZRX unit to be a six axle. Could not find any HZRX 858 on The Diesel shop but did find 859. When looking at the unit going by, I was debating whether the unit was 858 or 859, so it just may have been 859.

LSRC dropped off a grain train today in Wixom for CSX from Gavillon-Saginaw. G80530 with CSX 897/CSX 4810

A NB CSX grain train with CSX 3417+1 CSX met them in Plymouth. G80627 for LSRC.

M510 @ 13:28 heading north on the Deshler Cam SE Wye with CSX 7253/CSX 8465 (elephant style) & mid CSX 885 DPU with around 100-150 cars (lots of auto racks, loaded gondolas with wooden ties, coil cars, CHs, string of NSSX high wall gondolas at rear, boxcars etc.) -> CSX 8465 could be a possible replacement for L304/L305?

B523 @ 20:31 heading north on the Deshler Cam SẼ Wye with CSX 5262?/CSX 42?
