Coopersville Monorail freight update:

Pair of lumber centerbeams at Standard Lumber in Walker, one loaded and one already empty.

MQT:

A short northbound freight is laid over just south of the depot in downtown Grant: 3389, 3408, and a short train with lots of boxcars.

More Grand Elk weekend weirdness - GDLK north through Byron Center on a Sunday at 11:53am. WAMX 4124 running LHF solo with no cars.

Back south with wamx 4209, wamx 3807 and 15 cars. Covered hoppers, an open gon, then tank cars at 2:18pm.

I just drove by Hughart Yard and saw 2 WAMX engines elephant style shunting a line of cars that GDLK J303 brought up earlier this week.

I also noticed 2 tracks with string of cars were gone after seeing them this morning. They must have gone to Wyoming Yard on Z439

I didn’t see todays J303 in the yard

Grand elk south through Byron Center at 7:19pm. Was out on a walk, but believe it was wamx 4209, definitely wamx 4190( Wisconsin Southern unit) and probably 25 cars trailing. Wonder what GDLK has planned for 4190... Didn't sound like it was online.

Hearing train horns blowing in the distance in the Wyoming area at this time 10:08pm, maybe around 36th and 44th St

2nd round of train horns blowing at 10:10pm, sounds like they are around 44th St

3rd round of train horns blowing at 10:13pm, horns are sounding further away now, maybe 36th St

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 1:21pm. WAMX 4190 (Wisconsin Southern unit) leading WAMX 4209 with 18 cars. Might be the first time I've seen that loco leading a train by the home. Only other sighting I recall is just the loco going by southbound with another unit lite, then coming back solo lite later in the day.

Hasn’t gotten to Hughart yet, speaking of; lots of brand new AEX covered hoppers in the yard. 3 locomotives in it, a faded yellow/black watco engine and a normal yellow/black watco engine (didn’t get the numbers), I did see a canadian widecab geep in there too.

Visual confirmed! Just passed Hughart Yard at 4:30pm and saw 3 engines elephant style and all LHF. Tonight’s J303 will have WAMX #4017, WAMX #4190 and WAMX #4225. A rainbow colors of Grand Elk engines
