Grand elk north through Byron Center at 5:26pm, wamx 4002, 4189, 4209 and 23ish cars.

You and me both. I used to live mile from L&W and have never seen a train on that branch. Heard the horn a few times, but never managed to catch them.

South through Byron Center at 2:30pm. WAMX 4209, WAXM 4189, WAMX 4009, and about 20ish cars, one tank car, one covered hopper, rest boxcars. Thanks JT! A sunday GDLk run, and it went through during Lion's halftime, got a photo of them as well, perfect timing.

Ahhh you beat me to it. Saw the Grand Elk cross 44th St at 2:18pm. I didn’t see the engines but I saw the last 7-10 cars of the train

Note: Stood next to the tracks at 129th Ave for about 45 minutes after seeing them pass 44th St and it was nice to just stand outside, watch some leaves fall, got a horn tap from some passing cars lol.

MQT NB around 12:30. Did not see the headend, but it was stopped just North of Ann St, probably switching around Turner, so guessing it was a long train.

NB JAIL currently working at Cavanaugh Yard. 821 leading LHF with 822 trailing. Judging by the amount of tank cars they have they are definitely working the CN interchange today.

JAIL went as far as Cavanaugh Yard today. They had to sort and spot a large pickup from NS at Greif/Michigan Packaging, The Andersons’, RSDC and the ZFS transload.

ADBF 821 led NB, ADBF 1751 led SB - not 822 as previously reported.

Grand Elk just went by the Elkhart VR cam at 11:23 am with two locos up front(I didn’t catch the loco numbers) with 30 cars in tow. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers and tank cars.
