CSX Train Location Updates - Aug 2023

L305-03 arrived in Howell eastbound at 16:55 with 96 cars. First 32 looked to be CSX grain cars from Webberville. If so, that leaves 65 cars for GLC. Unknown if they set the grain cars off in Howell to pick up going back west, and taking the 64 GLC for Brighton storage again, or, the other way around. Either way, they will go to Brighton to turn.

Probably most of the cars L305 picked up in Howell yesterday from GLC. Those cars did not sit in Howell long enough for the FRA to bad order them here like they frequently do. Getting to be a habit. They don't deliver but once a week, and most need help before leaving Owosso. No such thing as car inspectors up there anymore, if there ever were.

The cars from L305 at Howell are largely still sitting on Main 2 in Lansing. L302 already had 100+ cars leaving Lansing, so they only picked up a dozen or so from the yard before they departed.

L303-03 @ 14:55 talked with Dispatcher and mentioned about taking out several bad order cars in Wyoming Yard. Crew stated “not even sure they will depart”. This crew started at 11am. They have CSX #5417 and CSX #5326 and no job briefing was heard yet.

03:04 - U303-03 east thru Brighton with 5417 + 5326 leading my count of 163 cars.
At 03:18 I heard what sounded like "clear pair South Lyon, no defects" but was unable to pick up an axle count.
No cars visible in the siding at Brighton when I was out there.
