Is it common for HESR to pull across the Durand diamond rather than use the Port Huron wye? Why do they cross it rather than use the wye?

14:15 - HESR Job 702 pulls across the diamond in Durand for head room today instead of utilizing the Port Huron Wye. 3390/3484

15:39 - HESR job 701 backs across the diamond in Durand and departs. 3484/3390 and a small train today.

It is not common for them to do that. Not sure why they did that unless the PH Wye was being worked on at the time.

Grand Elk @ 11:59am was seen on the Elkhart Railcam heading towards Elkhart Yard with WAMX #4209 and WAMX #4206 with possibly 70 cars. In the consist were 4 AMTK rock hoppers(?), 1 loaded cut logs bulkhead, a lot of covered hoppers, boxcars, 2 gondolas (MMRX and PDNX markings) and few tankers mixed in.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 8:01pm. WAMX 3807 LHF with 24 cars. Strange seeing them back again on a day they ran south in the morning. Maybe another crew and they'll run south again tonight, or will just tie up for the evening, who knows.

ADBF pulled an 84-car empty grain train for MAC Blissfield off of the interchange with NS today. ADBF 1223 was on the head end with ADBF 1752/ADBF 1759 shoving from the rear.

JAIL NB around 12:15 into Ensel Yard with ADBF 822/ADBF 1751 and four cars - one empty coil, two tank cars and an empty CR gondola from Harris Rebar.
