Just a heads up to Andy, J T, Tank and Z, I was just standing outside and could hear the horn of the Elk around the Plainwell area. I am guessing that it’s making its way up to GR.
Always appreciated man! I’ll try to catch the GDLK 303 NB.

Grand Elk south through Byron Center at 2:54pm. WAMX 4189, WAMX 4209 and 11ish cars. Two steel coil cars in there. Came through at about the busiest road usage part of the day - when the high schoolers let out and haul down Alles Dr.

GRE WB at the Grand River around 1:30. Looked like ~23 empties. Sounded like MQT NB about the same timeframe, no visual.

This mornings Grand Elk going southbound towards Elkhart hit a vehicle at the corner of Centre and Shaver Rd. There is a video in the news link below.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 3:15pm. WAMX 4225(smoking it up pretty decent) and WAMX 4189 with 35ish cars. Of note, 2 very tall gons in there, with about 8-9 loaded NS shorter gons, loaded with scrap. Haven't seen loads of scrap through here in ages, if at all. NS 202212 one of the cars.

There’s a string of cars waiting on the Michigan line in Wayne likely destined for JAIL. Mostly covered coil cars and covered hoppers with a few boxcars mixed in.

I saw those too and wondered what their destination was. JAIL was not one of the places I thought of though. Thanks for the info.

Great. It’ll take NS a couple of days to forward them to Jackson and then 24-36 additional hours for them to process the cars in the system to interchange to ADBF. That’s a big reason why they quit going down on Sunday nights.
