It appears 355 did not run from Pontiac today.

350 was about an hour and twenty minutes late arriving Pontiac. It had the P42 leading and a Charger on the other end.

355 left Pontiac last night without the Genesis locomotive on the rear end so it must be at the depot as the backup power for this weekend.

Transit docs shows it stopped in Detroit, Amtrak says it arrived in Pontiac at 2:38.

Looks like transit docs updated. Engine is probably deep in the Pontiac yard by now

I have only seen these units in California! That was on a very good trip with my late Dad (RCJ I) in August 2008!!!!

Test Train with F59 just went SB past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 8:39 am following SB 515.

Any idea why it went to Durand from Pontiac yesterday? I thought it was just shunt testing Amtrak routes?

Well JT I don’t work for Amtrak however I do see them go past my house so I am really not qualified to answer this question.
I will however say based on the information that you have provided you basically have answered your own question and I would have to say that the answer to your question is no.

I for one would like to know what the railfan from Lansing thinks because he seems to have an opinion on almost everything.

Is 350 operating this summer? Haven't seen it for a couple days now (though I did see 355 yesterday) and the Amtrak Train Status says that it is not operating on the day I ask.

350/353 will continue to operate Fri-Sat-Sun for just a couple more weeks before flipping back to daily just in time for fall colors. This allows longer mid day work windows for various MofW projects along the MI Line.
