Grand Elk SB @ 7:53 pm with WAMX #4124 + WAMX #4125 & 49 cars saw them at 50th St near Gordon Food Services.

They slowed down fairly quick due to a broken gate crossing at 54th St, which needs to be installed ASAP. Eastbound traffic has a singular long 35ft-ish bar while the westbound traffic has 2 shorter 20ft ish bars. One of the westbound gates was destroyed due to a car accident

Z151-02 @ 10:00 SB towards Wyoming Yard with MQT #3391 + 2(?) & 23 cars. Unknown on the number of trailing engines behind 3391.

11:11 - JAIL is NB at Cedar. Had to wait for MOW maintainer. There’s cars in Ensel for them.

11:22 - JAIL blowing for EE Ensel with ADBF 821, one coil car for CN, ADBF 1751 and one CR gondola, possibly picked up from Ambasssdor steel and for NS.

Grand Elk was switching the Munising paper mill around 3:30pm on Sunday. The crew tied down the train of about 5 cars near the M-28 crossing and parked 5551 at the office near the mill.

12:12 - SB JAIL across Red Cedar River from Ensel headed to Saginaw Yard and thru to CN with one coil car.

Marquette rail is northbound past 6mile road in Comstock Park.
Three SDs and 49 cars mostly covered hoppers.

13:38 - SB IORY w IORY 3488, South-facing green/white ex-BN unit solo, departing Flat Rock

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 5:18pm. WAMX 4124, WAMX 4125, and 39 cars. Couple steel coils on the headend, mix of covered hoppers, tank car, empty centerbeams, and open hoppers.

I don’t think it went pass Wyoming 54th St around 5:25pm. I would have heard it heading north unless I was making noise and couldn’t hear it .

As of 8:25pm, no Grand Elk heading southbound yet.

I just heard a horn...probably the 32nd St crossing as they head south.

Edit: Now blowing for 36th. Definitely the southbound train.

Did they stop to do some switching between 36th and when they passed by you?

WMI left 11 cars for CSX in Hartford last night.

Grand Elk just went past the Elkhart camera, led by WAMX 4225 and WAMX 4189 with 35 cars heading northeast towards White Pigeon on its way to Kalamazoo.

The Detroit Connecting RR is working today.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 4:03pm. WAMX 4125, WAMX 4124, WAMX 4009 with 6 cars.

Grand Elk sitting in downtown Kalamazoo waiting for the Amtrak to come through. Led by WAMX 3534 and WAMX 3531 with a mix of tank cars and box cars.

Grand Elk south through Byron Center approx 10:40pm.

Maybe. Dunno if they stopped to switch or just took 40ish minutes to go by. Last I've been told is that the yard job takes care of the business north of Byron Center and not the road train.

INER eb was working sungro in quincy about 1100 with a pretty good size train and 2 units
