L301-08 @ 14:19 westward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 182 axles & 2,600+ feet long. CSX engine #6965 + #8052 (?) & 43 cars. He’s headed into Waverly/Holland. He may have ran with the CSXT #8052 added since the axle math doesn't work for a 4 axle engine (#6965) or a lone 6 axle engine, but, does work for a combination of a 4 axle engine & a 6 axle engine working together.

Stone loads for Stoneco.
Déjà vu gondola cars loaded with crushed stone misidentified as sand. The same thing happened on June 28th lol

Here is the post and it’s interesting that it was SD80MAC who informed us that the stone was going to Lansing.

66 of the 116 cars were CSX hoppers, possibly hauling sand.
Didn't count but definitely plenty hoppers loaded with sand. Most of it was the last of the freight

That's crushed stone headed for Lansing.

Looked like sand😂😂. Crushed stone sure looks like sand from 20ft away and 15ft high from the ground.

Looks like sand. Obviously heavy stuff—the mid-train DPU is quite close to the head end by length, but obviously it’s correctly placed by tonnage.

M326-27 cleared mp CG20.67 @ 17:55

I got a good close-up look at those hopper cars. Definitely not sand i’m not exactly sure what it was possibly some kind of crushed lime Stone ballast.

You will almost never see sand shipped in open-top hoppers, at least in Michigan.

What railcar would sand be loaded in IF they were in Michigan?
