30-35 sand hoppers. I am not aware of that many loads going out at one time in a very long time.

I am not sure if they were loaded, but if they are, hopefully going to oil and gas production sites.AARR wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 3:55 pm30-35 sand hoppers. I am not aware of that many loads going out at one time in a very long time.

They’ve been moving 20 to 25 + car blocks once and more often twice a week for quite some time.AARR wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 3:55 pm30-35 sand hoppers. I am not aware of that many loads going out at one time in a very long time.
They have also been using a lot of MMRR covered hoppers as of late.

Does anyone know if the sand from Berry Jct. is foundry or fracking sand?

Re: Shortline Train Location Updates - June 2022
Attention MQT fans. The road freight is parked just on the north side of Grant for its weekend layover, facing north, with the four pack of orange SD40-2s up front, caboose 3158, a dozen or so ballast hoppers, and about 30 mixed freight. Will be going northbound instead of a GR interchange Monday morning it appears.
Also, one of the yellow geeps was parked near the Baldwin coal tower as of 17:00 tonight.

Mmrr eb just passed 127 at 1511. Orange unit leading a wide cab with black and white striped nose. Couldn't see the rest of the unit
Re: Shortline Train Location Updates - June 2022
Two units assigned to MMRR? I did not think they would ever do that. I have watched a video of them using a single GP38-2 to pull 90 loaded grain cars to Paines.

I did a car trace of what appeared to be a cut from the MS. Loaded to New Castle PA. Empty and on the way back today.Plannerdad wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 5:18 pmI am not sure if they were loaded, but if they are, hopefully going to oil and gas production sites.
