Grans Elk North through Byron Center at 5:30pm. Looked like wamx 4189, wamx 3531 and approx 25 cars. I think 4124 and 4125 are still up in GR from Friday.

Back south approx 11:45pm. Looked like 4 locos and guessing 100-110 cars.
Must have stopped for a nap. They were leaving Plainwell about 6:30am, right before I went to work.

Didn't see the Elk, but did hear them in Plainwell about 8:00 or a bit later. Horn sounded like it came from the north.

I am standing outside right now (9:25pm) and can hear the Elk chugging along. It’s amazing how well the sound of those engines travel. I live on the other side of 131 but can usually here them when they are in Plainwell and the D Ave crossing. I can usually hear them blasting the horns as they get into Kalamazoo also. Living up on this hill has its advantages.
