Per reliable source, C&M 7014 is on the ground at the farm crossing east of Marne.
13:40 ET: confirmed, just minor, on the ground on the crossing at Triicks Farm.
Sounds like they stopped trying to drag it back on. I assume some west shore cranes are probably on the way to Penn Jct.
To quote the radio conversation "it's going nowhere"
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 3:48pm with WAMX 4189, WAMX 4206, and 16 cars. Mostly box cars with a couple tank cars and a covered hopper.

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.
They are just now going under 28th St. Does Grand Elk do some switching somewhere south of 36th?

They could switch Zeeland Lumber south of 54th, Padnos just south of 44th, or Magic Steel just north of 44th. They used to have a local that switched that stuff but the Kzoo to GR train might do that now.
What crossing is your above photo from?

Just south of the 50th St. crossing with the M6 overpass in the background. I got the shot there, then edited the photo to upload to this thread while I sat in a parking lot there, and then drove down to 68th to Tractor Supply. I was in TC for about 15 minutes, and then I headed back north on 131. They were crossing 32nd when I went under 32nd on 131. So they must have been switching somewhere either between 44th and 50th or between 36th and 44th. When I was at 50th, I could see a string of cars on a siding to the north a little bit. Perhaps they stopped there to either pick up or drop off. When I saw them at 32nd, I wasn't able to get a visual on the entire train.

The Grand Rapids yard job/local handles all of the switching north of Moline, unless something has changed very recently.
Would there be any reason for them to stop somewhere between 32nd and 44th and wait to enter the yard?
