LV-4 was by CP Lou around 3pm, returning from the Highland Park Industrial with 3 Covered Hoppers from JSP, 2 Boxcars from Friendship Materials, and 3 Tanks from either Quaker or PVS. They picked up 4 Loaded Scrap Gons from Ferrous.

Scrolling back, looking for something else, and I wanted to compliment how interesting this little photo set is of LV-4 switching out FPT on the Kronk. I remember driving by there in the 90s spying a former National Steel switcher in there, and later an Alco from RELCO. Driving down John Kronk toward Livernois and bouncing over former industrial spurs left and right, and even back then FPT might have been the only active spur track. The high hood, the rainy weather, the short local, it just sets and interesting mood and I’m glad I found these photos again. Thanks for sharing….6 months later!
