355 last night had also been affected by stop signals at CPs 140, 142 and 143. Delayed over two hrs but moved OK after getting a signal at CP 147.
Were there storms in the area?

All the signals are new on the Michigan Line now so don't know what happened to 355 and 354. There may have been storms. Before the State of Michigan bought the line and upgraded it and the signals, any time it rained the signals would act up and the train would have to stop at each one and the dispatcher would have to give them permission by it, which made for a long trip and really messed with crews and their hours of service. I thought this was all cleared up by now but things go wrong.

Amtrak 353 was a half hour late out of Pontiac this morning.
And on the CN board there is a report about a bridge problem over i-94 in Detroit that is holding up this train and I guess any others on CN and maybe Conrail.

353 leaving CN at Federal Jct. Through the bridge strike scene at slower speed. Conrail bridge side unaffected.

EB empty grainer into Decatur yesterday with the two NS ITCS units and an ACE in the middle. Arrived at the elevator shortly after 16:30

Amtrak 355 just went SB past MP 22.5 on the Holly out of Pontiac very slowly with power on the rear (missed whether there was power on the front end). Guessing it is a 20 mile shove move to wye the train at Milwaukee Junction because of problems with the power or not enough time to run around it in Pontiac.

Amtrak 354 arrived at Pontiac around 4:40 am last night for some reason (usually an accident but hopefully not). So Amtrak 351, the first one out of Pontiac in the morning, has not left Pontiac yet.
7:00 AM edit: 351 just went by MP 22.5 south of Pontiac with two locomotives elephant style on the headend.

The Midwest meltdown continues.
Everybody's giving the Class Ones crap for service irregularities presently - and they deserve it - but Amtrak apparently doesn't want to be left out of the action! Right now it seems like Amtrak is responsible for more delay minutes into/out of Chicago that the darn freight carriers!

355 cast off from the Dearborn platform at 18:30 tonight, 1 minute late, behind a SC-44, 1 Amfleet cafe and 4 Horizon coaches.
Somehow, 352 lost a full hour between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.
